What this privacy notice covers

This privacy notice sets out information on the personal information collection and use when you provide personal information to us, when you visit this website, or when you interact with this platform.

Who we are

Count Us In is a brand name of Leaders’ Quest Foundation (LQF). We are a community of people protecting what we love from climate change before it is too late. We want people to take practical steps that when aggregated, will make a significant impact in reducing carbon pollution and challenge leaders to act boldly to deliver global systems change.

To achieve this, we create platforms for partner clients on climate-related topics that matter to them based on content they provide. Through these platforms individuals can pledge to take specific steps to make a difference.

Where we use ‘Count Us In’ and ‘CUI’ in this notice, the legal organisation is Leaders’ Quest Foundation.

Data controller 

For the purpose of this Privacy Notice, CUI is a data controller for your account information (email, username and password) and where we use data from the platform to create aggregate, anonymised statistics to be able to report on pledges people are making on climate matters.

Personal information collection and use

When you pledge to take action

You will need to create an account on the platform and provide the following information.

We also use part of your IP address to assign you a country location to report on the geographic spread of individuals using the platform. This country location information is also used to serve up the most relevant language and region-specific data.

CUI use of your information

We only use information for our own purposes in aggregate form to report on how many people have pledged and what type of pledges they have made. We will aggregate data from other platforms we provide to get these statistics.

We also send automated emails once you have signed up to welcome you to the platform and to remind you of the pledges you have made. We will only send you emails about our work and projects if you have opted in.

We may need to use your information as part of administering the website and platform and for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing and research.

We also generate reports on platform-specific performance indicators, aggregated impacts and other insights they request.

You can contact us through our main website to provide feedback, complain, sign up as a partner, get involved with our work in some way or for media enquiries. We ask for your name and contact details, where you are located and your message. We only use this information to reply to you.

When you visit any of our websites, we will automatically collect the following information. Where we collect this information from your device using Google Analytics, we will only do so if you have consented through the cookie management tool.
